Instant Coffee

Be careful who your best friend is, of course.

We get Costa Rican beans from BJ’s and brew a cup at a time using “steaming hot water” from the InSinkErator. One-cup fresh ground is the best.

This suggestion has become my toy of the week.  I place an old permanent coffee filter, much like this ($9.95)  onto my coffee mug and  drizzle hot water (from our instant hot) over the grounds.  Putting the brand of coffee aside, this is  incredibly fast, and the resultant brew lacks any bitterness.  Just perfect.  Thanks B.

My son's favorite coffee mug from Ak has a Moose on one side and a saying on the other "May your glass always be two turds full."
And two molded in and painted moose turds at the bottom of the cup.

Great Costa Rican coffee can be had from CafeBrit.com

Costa Ricans have a little device that is a simple coffee filter (cheesecloth) suspended over the cup. You put the ground coffee in it, and pour in boiling water. It loks like a cup-sized gantry with the filter hanging thru a hole in the top.

Oh, the mug. I don't know. Find someone who does ceramics and have them make you one.
