OMG, Peta is right! I haven't given it that much thought. Really. And for a great deal of time I have blocked it out. I've ignored the PETA ads and therefore ignored the truth. As of today my life is changed forever - thank you PETA!
They're right. Those chickens are delicious and that's all that really matters. I don't feel guilty any more for eating them. Thanks!!! -

My grandmother (who raised me) liked to remind us that before anybody could eat a pork chop, a pig had to die. When I was about 5 or so, she held a knife in my hand and cut the carotid of a Duroc she'd had my uncles hang by its hind feet. We drained the blood into a washtub, then cut him open and pulled out his entrails, which I had to haul down to the creek and wash (we had a hand-pump well for our house water). She also had me clean rabbits, squirrels, fish, ducks, and chickens, which I often had to kill.
Her only rule about slaughtering and butchering animals was always do it quickly and stop doing it if it ever became fun. -
