Rodger, Thanks for that. My godfather fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was 18. (He had enlisted before he graduated from high school.) After the war he wouldn't even go hunting.

So did my dad - he took a mortar round in the head. So did my step dad. He was shot in the belly.

Beautiful Rog. And most appropriate. Today was Carl Ohman's funeral. My neighbor and friend. He was 93 and one of the most incredible men I've ever known.

A WWll vet, 28 years of service. The service blew my mind, the US Army was there in force. Very moving. Such respect

Anyone that disparages our military isn't fit to live here.

Another one here.

In loving memory of SSgt. Sherman O. Anderson. Combat Engineer, and gentleman. From Utah Beach, to The Ardenne Forest, to the the Camps. What he saw there burned his soul.
Gone from us now, he is at long last at peace.

I miss you Grandpa.

Beautiful, my own father was a WW2 vet, served as a medic with the 89th Infantry in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Thank you to all our veterans.
