I wanted to install a unique staircase up to my loft. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I live in a 4 family building, building codes prevent me from using anything remotely interesting. i.e. Open stringers are completely banned.

WOW!...That lucky stiff gets all the Keebler cookies he can eat, and the exercise running up and down the steps with armloads of chocolate chips and tripping over those elves...hmmm
