Knowing that this isn't the proper place to ask, I gotta ask ennyhow:
My machine just folds its arms across its surge protector and sits and stares unblinkingly at me with one biq rectangular eye when I click on certain types of videos, namely .rar, jumpcut, and ... ah, hell, can't remember the other one. Oh, QT files. And pdf is inarguably a Satanic device foisted upon the earth by demons and trolls.
So what are "rar" and "jumpcut" files, and what do I hafta do to be able to open em? Last time I tried to d/l a player, I got a bug which ate all my dlls and I couldn't do squat except e-mail and word processing.
RAR is an archive format (like ZIP). 7-Zip is a totally free and non-spyware-infested archiver that supports RAR.
I don't know what "jumpcut" is, but it sounds only slightly more evil than Quicktime.
Jumpcut is the same as all the desktop video distributors like You Tube. It converts video files to Flash movies. Don't know why you have prollems with it.
Wait a sec...I thought Rowan Atkinson was anti-jihadi.
Rowan Williams (Scrotum to his friends), is a deeply thoughtful man. Unfortunately, only after he has spoken. (I wanted to say 'pontificated' but he is C of E)
