was it photographed in Motor Trend or hot rod, or the like ??? Sounds familiar...quite a few years ago

I dunno if it made Motor Trend or not. This does go back to the early 80's though. I see in Google that somebody in Maryland had that plate on his Caddy until the state figured it out and yanked it. Cheech and Chong also had a variation of it in "Up in Smoke".
