Al Gore, Mass Murderer

The bio-fool consequence

Stalin's vengeful Ukraine  policy resulted in the 1932-33 famine that took an estimated seven million lives. Al Gore's shilling for the climate change hoax, promoted by Stalin's ideological heirs, and the root cause of this idiocy that has us burning our food,  is about to dwarf those  numbers.  Gore is poised to become the greatest mass murderer in all history. Real consequences, Al.

Ok but he "means well" which, if you're a liberal, is all that matters.

American grain farmers are making more money due to the increased demand for ethanol. Good for them.

And if the CHICOMs get screwed in the process -- good for us.

I see it as a win/win situation.

Now lets punch a hole in ANWR and call it a day.

I suspect there is latent anger toward, well, everyone, since he was crowned in '02.

We tried giving the grain to Africa, but they refused. The Europussies told 'em GM grain bad juju. OK, put in my gas tank. Good juju.

I'd agree with Chuck M.

First, the Chinese eat rice, not corn. Can you imagine them trying to eat whole kernel or even creamed corn with chopsticks!?

Second, It's for the children (tm). Therefore it doesn't matter if a bunch of brown people starve.

Third, the biggest impact on the glueball economy is twofold, wal-mart prices may rise, and smaller, independent farmers will lose in the end, as seed prices are already, and will continue to rise.

Fourth, soon all farmland in the US will either be owned by agriconglomerates or the US GOV, after using eminent domain to seize it, to better farm the land for "national economic security"

Finally, given the current weakness of the dollar on the world market, allowing other economies to collapse will allow us to either completely wreck our own economy or stay a world economic power, depending on which band of merry idiots wins in November.

Gore may have a saving grace. The Brazilians claim to be close to cracking the cellulosic ethanol nut (where ethanol can be synthesized starting with cellulose rather than starch or sugar....that's the bark of the plant for those of you in Rio Linda). If they do, then the price of ethanol will plumment from the current ~$85 per barrel to something like $20, maybe less. That, and there are several huge oil finds in the works or coming online. The tar sands of Alberta hold some 400 billion barrels or oil, although it is very expensive to recover. The Bakken formation in North Dakota may now be recoverable, another 200+ billion barrels. Oil shale in Colorado probably holds about 80. The Jupiter, Tupi and Carioca fields of offshore Brazil hold at least another 50, and speculation is there is 3 or 4 times that much in similar deposits which simply hasn't been charted yet. Sums up to be that the Western Hemisphere is a decade away from complete energy independence, if the Goreons can be put in their place eventually.

Anyway, it's an interesting time to be an oilman, or in the energy business in general. I'm not in that busniess myself, but I do like how they don't blink too hard when they write big checks. So I try to stay informed, so as to keep our conversations lucrative.

Do you think that BarryO will propose a Windfall Profits Tax for American Farmers?

World famine . . . . Yeah, yeah, yeah I know.

"Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes. . . . The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together . . . . Mass hysteria!" Ghost Busters (1984).
