Years ago, my neighbor had a german shepard that was dumber than a bag of hammers. They played catch with frisbees. They were easy to get back then cause every place in town advertised on/with them. So we had an ample supply. And then one day, we statred playing horse shoes. We never thought how similar that might be to a dog. She caught one in the air (no one saw her coming until too late) and went down like a stone. She was O.K. later.

My neighbor's dog will sit in the rain to bark at me. It's seven years old and hasn't figured out I live here.

He's the King of the Short Attention Span. Barking at me, turned his head, stopped barking, and then turned his head back. Saw me, flinched, and began to run away. Straight into the tree behind him.

Some days, he's even more entertaining than that. Bag of hammers, indeed.
