Great Performances

Great Emotional Moments

I'm sure all of us find ourselves nearly overcome with emotion, but Sen. Byrd yesterday joined the pantheon of great weepy emoters.

That's the way I feel about this presidential election, our absence of leadership and the direction of country.

If, god forbid, the moment arrives, I look forward to Byrd's eulogy for Ted. It'll be awesome.

one needs a heavy dose of cognitive dissonance to feel sorry.

My boss asked me on Monday morning how my weekend went. I said, "Nearly perfect."

"Why nearly perfect?", he replied.

"Well," I said, "the Red Sox swept the Royals, the Mets swept the Yankees - except for the rainout, and Ted Kennedy is in an ICU. You figure out why it wasn't completely perfect."

"Yeah, I'm pissed off that Friday's game got rained out, too."
