Don't worry, once the government nationalizes the oil industry it will be as inexpensive as it is in Europe.

And thanks to the Kelo decision by the Supremes, the socialists won't even have to pay fair market value for the seized refineries!

There is some Bad Crazy loose in America when the Democrats feel they don't have to hide their socialist leanings.

It's really a little scary to hear these people talk about seizing private companies.

When the "Big Oil" executives were "interviewed" by those slimeballs in congress last month, I was just hoping one of them would have to balls to say "Who the hell do you think you are? You're just an elected official, not a king. You don't have the authority to tell me what I can or can't do. This is a private company and last time I checked this is a Constitutional Republic so take your television grandstanding and kindly piss off, Senator."

never going to happen, but fun to think about. Similarly, when "Big Tobacco" (see a trend here?) was blackmailed a few years ago, I would have liked to heard them say "fine... we won't sell any cigarettes in your home state, Senator. And when the nicotine withdrawal kicks in about 24 hours from now, YOU can go tell your constituents why you took away their smokes..."

Great comment Jack, but it'll never happen because the guys who rise to the top of bureaucracies are the professional business class. They didn't get where they are by making waves. Look at how Clinton kicked Microsoft in the nuts, launching the deflation of the tech bubble. Did they fight back? Hell no, they came up with the baksheesh. Lenin was right. These spineless fucks will sell him the rope.
