Unplugged This e-Claire story about Obama's smoking yesterday sent me scurrying after an analogous FDR picture.  This is not the first time I've been struck by how sanitized the web is when it comes to Roosevelt and  his trademark cigarette in patrician holder.  But think about it.  What sort of people,  what kind of nation, will alter history willy-nilly to indulge so trivial a POV?  Answer:  A people who will rewrite, redefine, and reinterpret anything that suits their worldview.
