I haven't been to church in a while now, but in all the years I was, never heard politicking like this. I love how this guy (or priest,if you can call him that) supports his statements with, "it's in the Bible" and no one asked "where?!"
Good grief, I want their tax exemption removed.
Those comments at Kos, I do hope they're a very small percentage of America's people. Or. I shudder.
And where's the Pope on Pflaeger? This guy is not serving Christ or the Church.
Juice,
His bishop would have to formally reprimand him. Then the cardinal in charge would bring it to the attention of the Holy See.
Pfleger would have to cross the line of the Canon Law of the Roman Church and do something that would make him apostate, heretical in thought, word or deed. He could then be stripped of his clerical status and possibly excommunicated.
That's the "official" process.
He can be called before the Cardinal and unofficially reprimanded and told to stop his actions. To which he could tell the Cardinal to suck rocks or bend to the will of his superior.
If the Roman Church kicks him out, he would become an immediate martyr for the cause of Socialist/Liberation theology as it is practiced in the Americas.
I suspect that Archbishop and/or Cardinal in Chicago are keeping close tabs on his actions and writings. And I also suspect that Pfleger is smart enough to know when he is crossing that fine line into apostate/heretical actions or words.

I have already written to the Vicar General of the Chicago Diocese. Here's the address:
Very Rev. John Canary
Vicar General Archdiocese of Chicago
155 E. Superior Street
Chicago, IL 60611
I asked the Vicar General if the Church had learned anything at all from the pedophile priest scandals and wasn't it about time they started treating these errant priests like the canker sores on the ass of the church they actually were! (Well, I wasn't QUITE that blunt - but you catch my drift).
I suggest that individual (display some couth if you aren't Catholic - or even if you are) letter are quite in order.
Sven, Thanks for knowledge regarding Catholic-Hierachy. We certainly don't need this guy becoming a martyr.
You know, back before Vatican II, the Cardinal would have shipped Pfleger off to a Trappist monastery so he could meditate on the error of his ways.

I consider them to be mainstream Democrats. The Kos/Code Pink whackos are in charge of the party which represents ~50% of the voters. I shudder, too.
