I demand an apology for this apology!

What I remember about the trial of  Richard Allen Davis, who kidnapped and murdered 12-year-old Polly Klaas in 1993, is how horrified the media were.  Not horrified that he'd murdered this little girl.  No, horrified that Davis was unrepentant, and displayed lewd gestures to the jury, and to the Klaas family.  That was unforgivable. Liberals love apologies. When Duke Cunningham apologized for the bribe taking that sent him to prison, it was reported with Nelson Muntz smugness  Ha-Ha.   When a Kennedy offers one of their many "whoops, I'm off to rehab" statements, it's accepted as a  reason to never mention it again. Liberals mostly like to apologize to the world for their own country. They never apologize for being wrong about almost everything they promote.  Ever. Five days ago the The House issued an apology to black Americans for  slavery - that ended nearly a 150 years ago. Exclude me.  Not because I wasn't even born then. Not because the African slave trade was, and still is, a creation of Africans themselves.  And, not because we fought a bloody civil war to end slavery.  No. Without slavery I would not have had heroes like · Roy Campanella, ·Satchel Paige, ·Fats Domino, · Chuck Berry, · Len Bias, · Michael Jordan, · Thomas Sowell, · Al, the mechanic who taught me about cars when I worked at Russ's Cities Service during high-school,  · recent NFL Hall of Famers  Art Monk and  Darrell Green, · the White Sox's Al Smith,  and on-and-on-and on ....  Without the institution of slavery, none of them would have been here for me.  Most would have died from disease at an early age,  or been killed in tribal wars that still dominate the culture.  It would be very appropriate, in fact, if the Congressional Black Caucus issued a formal Thank You America, for giving them this great opportunity, this America. That would make sense.
