...because if they wait until a few days before the election, Hillary will have the element of surprise....
;-)
That presupposes that the DNC wants Hillary to clobber Obama just days before the election. I dunt think so Lucy.
The DNC doesnt control billary any more than you do. If that scenario happened TimO, it would be for the Clinton's own gain in 2012.

And there are people on this website who would condemn Philip Berg for filing this lawsuit because he's one of those "trial lawyers".
You guys are missing the point I think. It is the Democratic National Committee joining with Obama's campaign to avoid having to show his citizenship papers. That Berg is a Hillary supporter is moot. The DNC is SCARED.
Cheap shot dude. If you can't see the difference for a discovery proceeding vs a class action lawsuit filed for plaintiffs who were trolled into the action, and whose chief beneficiaries in a win would be the lawyers themselves, then I hope I am never ever in need of your services. And pray for those that do. Gotta say that that holier then thou attitude is the main reason for the bad rep.

Berg has said he'd drop the citizenship bit if they'd simply produce a notarized copy of the relevant birth certificate. Instead of spending $50 to do so the DNC has chosen to spend serious legal fees (not to mention time) fighting it. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Of course there's a lot more to Obama's citizenship than the birth certificate.
This isn't a "discovery proceeding." This is a single "scum-of-the-earth trial lawyer" taking on entrenched political special interests backed by big money intent on a power-grab. This is a knock-down, drag-out, blood-on-the-floor-get-out-the-mop fight for the integrity of Article II, section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.
According to some, trial lawyers like Berg shouldn't even have the right take cases to court.
Oh stop Chuck. Old. We hate Trial Lawyers of the Tort Kind. As seen on TV.
