"Pet Newspaper"

The 'cuda

Sarah Palin has been demanding that  the LA Times release the Khalidi tape.  Listen to this soundbite, it's a joy  (transcript courtesy of Gateway)
"It must be nice for a candidate to have major news organizations looking after his best interests like that... Politicians would love to have a pet newspaper of their very own. In this case we have a newspaper willing to throw aside even the public's right to know in order to protect a candidate that its own editorial board has endorsed. And, if there's a Pulitzer Prize for excellence in kowtowing then the LA Times-- You're winning!"
The old bulls of the Republican Party, and their media voices (George Will, et al), who've had the effrontery to compare Palin disfavorably with that cipher from Kenya, and his nincompoop running mate, are career finished as far as I'm concerned.

Ain't she a joy? The left dominated MSM already has fatal levels of PDS-they hate her so much, savage attacks, you know, just in case this woman thinks she has a place in a leadership role in our party. No time like the present to put an end to that kind of thought.

And if she's actually elected, well we're not taking her seriously from day 1-you think the vitriol heaped on Dan Quayle was something, who BTW is quick as a whip, a solid Christian conservative and was my first choice in 2000, the attacks on Sarah will be relentless, their hate is so deep.

It will make the attacks on Bush seem like a picnic. If an opening attack is that she shouldn't have had her Down's baby because it's a drain on society or that the baby was really her daughters' or that she actually caused the handicap because she got on a plane, the question becomes how *ucking low can they go? They will plumb the depths.

You can add Ben Stein to the list of anti-Palin Repubs.

Yep ... the press just obsessed on Quayle's speech impediment ( every time he made a verbal gaffe, he was in the act of suppressing a Spoonerism ).

If a donk had had the same problem, the press would have fallen all over themselves defending him and castigating anyone who tried to joke about it.

The fact that the LA times won't release that tape is despicable. You can bet your bippy that if it were a republican that video would be flooding the country.

Oh well, things are looking up today. Clips from the cuda, Ted Nugent on Beck and Joe the Plumber on Beck.. There is some intelligent life left on this planet.

It is not wise to make too much of this tape until it is public.
Do you remember the temporarily famous tape of Clinton blowing his top during questioning about Monica before the DC grand jury? It was a hot topic on the blogs and Rush's show before it was released... and the following Monday, it was released, and showed Clinton merely biting his lip. Clinton's spin machine had spun up the conservative talkers for nothing. This tape could be another example of pre-spin over nothing. Be cautious.
