Obama's Money

McCain Couldn't Compete With Obama's Money
... and whose fault was that?
Please Sir, can I have two nickels?
Karl Rove knows why McCain lost, and of course he's right.  I also think it's poetic justice.
If money talks, we'll likely soon hear the real reason why Barack Obama beat John McCain. Both men and the national parties will report to the Federal Election Commission today how much money they raised in October and November. And what the numbers will probably show is that Mr. Obama outspent Mr. McCain by the biggest margin in history, perhaps a quarter of a billion dollars.--  [Continued]
Poetic Justice that McCain was hoist on his own McCain Feingold Campaign Finance petard.  But, come to think of it, the very restrictions that  did him in, were also what allowed the media to make him the nominee in the first place, despite the fact that we, the Republican base, hated his guts.  Just a taste of what happens when only certain people have access to the First Amendment.  I suspect we'll be getting progressively larger helpings of that particular gruel.

Hated his guts? That sounds a tad too strong. He actually had a few decent ideas about drilling and cutting corporate taxes and all of his bad ideas were shared with Obama. But he really was a completely uninspiring candidate.

I still cannot grasp the idea of that much money being spent on a campaign. What is the goal? who is getting the ROI for this? Something really stinks very much bad....

And yes, hate his guts is pretty damned close.

Hate is an active emotion. In order to hate, you have to spend time thinking about the object of your hatred. Why on Earth would anyone want to spend time thinking about John McCain? It would tend to make you moon-batty. Look at what all the time they spent hating Dubya did to the leftards!

The real question is why do people who will never vote Republican get a say in who will be the Republican candidate?

Initially I was simply going to vote straight right on everything but POTUS, and 3rd party for that post. Then came Sarah, and I really thought maybe we had a chance. I voted for HER, not HIM. I really didn't want HIM in the Oval Office. I know a guy who admits voting Obama for "tactical reasons". Figured we might as well get the "party" started. Get it rolling.
