I don't see why anyone is surprised about BHO's cap of $500K for top execs working for companies that get big bailout money from the government. It's how business gets done in Chicago.
Let's say you live on the South Side of Chicago. The economy is bad. Things are getting a little tight at your family dry cleaning business. You need some cash to tide you over so you can keep the doors open. The bank won't loan you the money. You have to get a few thousand dollars from the local loan shark just to make ends meet.
And now you are so surprised when the mob is all up in your business telling you how much is your cut from the business?
In the end, everybody knows you won't be able to pay back the loan. Your business is either going to go bankrupt or be burned out for the insurance money. Did you really expect things would turn out diffently?
C'mon . . . . It's business as usual in Chicago.
