Acorn patrolling against speech

Here's someone to start with ...

its now illegal to have a conversation on the sidewalk with another American citizen.
at least, according to acorn it is
and the POLICE, that's right, the POLICE,  are gonna enforce that.

Are we at DEFCON 1 yet? Then why not? For the purpose of academic discussion, some might feel that constitutional overreaching by Obamunists are out of control. And to be sure, it would be against the law if a citizen accosted, as this woman was, pulled out a can of mace, a baseball bat, or even a Colt .45 and used it liberally. Against the law. That person would also have airports, schools and highways named after her/him in the near future. There's your hypothesis.

Did you miss this headline Rodger?

WASHINGTON (AP) - Militia groups with gripes against the government are regrouping across the country and could grow rapidly, according to an organization that tracks such trends.

Of course they dismiss it to a "poor economy and a black President"... Riiiiiiiiight.

If a cop sees a conversation outside a town hall getting warm, stepping in to cut it off before it gets hot is doing his job. The interpretation of "disorderly conduct" is pretty much whatever a cop says and they can usually make it stick in front of a judge. It's not against the law to talk in public, but refusing to obey a cop reasonably trying to keep the peace is.

I don't see any offense against freedom here.

"...the United States of America is no more."

Yup.

"The great oak tree had stood on a hill over the Hudson, in a lonely spot on the Taggart estate. Eddie Willers, aged seven, liked to come and look at that tree. It had stood there for hundreds of years, and he thought it would always stand there. Its roots clutched the hill like a fist with fingers sunk into the soil, and he thought that if a giant were to seize it by the top, he would not be able to uproot it, but would swing the hill and the whole of the earth with it, like a ball at the end of a string. He felt safe in the oak tree's presence; it was a thing that nothing could change or threaten; it was his greatest symbol of strength."

"One night, lightning struck the oak tree. Eddie saw it next morning. It lay broken in half, and he looked into its trunk as into the mouth of a black tunnel. The trunk was only an empty shell; its heart had rotted away long ago; there was nothing inside—just a thin gray dust that was being dispersed by the whim of the faintest wind. The living power had gone, and the shape it left had not been able to stand without it."

One observations, ACORNs eat too much, no health care for them.

Take a look at some of the militia/patriot posters on you-tube. They are going nuts. A few of them claim to be preparing to bug out to their hiding places until this blows over.

The lady that warned the camera-holder to do as the policeman said should give Professor Gates a call over at Harvard and let him in on that, too.

That "lady" that warned the camera holder to do as the policeman said... she is a US Marshals Service courthouse security officer

Hey AWM,
At least Central Casting could have sent someone who actually looked like a police officer instead of a fat loser with a cheap rent-a-cop outfit. Oh, wait. He's a real cop? OK, he's still a fat loser who doesn't have the ability to cite whatever REAL law the whiteys are being accused of breaking because there isn't one. How about the black guys who were blocking a public thoroughfare? I bet there is actually a law against that. - Skyhawker, Doug

I wonder if Kim DuToit is having flash backs. I live amongst many expats from Rhodesia (NOT Zim). They have seen this their whole lives. All of Africa has fallen to monkey politics, this is just a little more polite due to potential litigation. Long live the RLI.

Hey AWM - I call BOVINE EXCREMENT on your post. If the staypuft marshmallow 'man' of a cop was really interested in keeping the peace, perhaps he would have said something about the red shirted goons intimidating people on the sidewalk.

The cop was obviously biased as hell, the same for the court officer.

I agreee with the previous poster about the noble Kim. We are heading to a banana republic real soon now.

about the only hope to turn things around will be if videos like this start to get out and get people pissed off.

One trick that might work would be to have some doughnuts in a bag. Throw them into the street and maybe that lard assed 'cop' would chase after them right in front of a bus.
