I guess. Sigh.

maybe it's time for another 'friend'

When I lost my first, it was over a year before I realized I needed another to fill the void. Life was dark.

And when she unexpectedly passed, I immediately got another.

In no way does it lessen their accomplishments and memories

It is truly the little things in life that get to you.

Like seeing your pet from the corner of your eye in familiar places of the past, and you quickly turn to its presence - for naught. It's haunting for quite some time, you know this. Hang in Rodge.

We rescued a dog from the south that was supposed to be a White Shepard. Turned out to be an American Dingo (aka Carolina Dog). Get yerself one. They are a great breed for us long in the tooths.

I am Juice. But it's like the phantom pain an amputees feels in a missing limb. It's just there until it's not.

Rodger, hang in there. I've watched my Dad love a lot of dogs in my time (I'm 59 he's 85). Like Daniel's story, he waited over a year the first time. Said he'd never do it again cuz he lost all that time he could have been loving another one. The last time, 3 years ago, he waited 2 weeks. When the one we have now goes, I'm not going to wait, I'll get my crying blue eyes out and get another.

Get thee to the pound man, there's a mutt there waiting just for you. He's got a trick he wants to teach you.

Chicken neck = crab bait.

You live on the shores of the world's largest freshwater estuary.

You know what to do.

Rodg, there are THOUSANDS of dogs that need rescued. While none can replace Reagan, all of them would love to try. And any of them will make you feel warmer then the first two shots of scotch in the morning.

Not to exceed my bounds, but I suggest the name "Thatcher" ... as in Margaret, Reagan's Brit counterpart.
