Really. Vanderleun has
the story. Yes, it was in fact American troops, not the
Taliban, although I'm sure they'd be pleased as punch for the
opportunity to take a few shots. So, big whoop. He is

This was LBJ's motorcade as it sped past the crowd gathered at Denver's
Stapleton Airport, in 1964. He could be seen behind the Cadillac limo's rear window, as he urged via a loud speaker, "Y'all vote for me next month!" The crown was very heavily comprised of peeps
from Lowry AFB, and Fitzsimmons Army Hospital. The people I was
with all supported Barry Goldwater, as did Colorado. Still, it
was a big deal.
