CONSIDER THIS - A hot war in the Middle East seems inevitable.  As things stand, I expect the UN  will side with Iran and its client states Syria, Lebanon, and the Palestinians,  against Israel.  Would Obama join with the UN, a body to which he's showed more allegiance to than he has the United States?  Or with Israel, whom he's been undermining since he took office?  If he follows form, US troops under UN command would find themselves  fighting alongside  radical Islam, and  against the Israelis.  In the event Bin-Barry gave that order, what would you expect to happen?

Bin-Barry does not have the cahones to give that order, much as he'd like to, because the danger of a mutiny in the US forces would be too great.

Nope.
As Anon. said, too many "Sorry, message garbled in transmission."
I wouldn't put it past him to call for some sort of Abraham Lincoln Brigade (again composed mainly of commies, socialists, anarchists, and suckers), though.
He would probably cancel all military cooperation/funding programs, though.

They will do what they are told because they are American soldiers and just because they may despise the person who is their CIC doesn't mean that they won't obey him.

Now if they are ordered to attack Americans then all bets are off. However, ordering them to stand with the UN even against an ally would be tough, but obeyed.

Chris is correct in that they (as I was once part of "they" for 20 some odd years) will obey any lawful order given. Having us act as an agent of the UN (and yes, we have done that before in the former Yugoslavia -if memory serves correctly-, and during Korea.) and directly oppose our, up to now, staunchest Allie in the Middle East, would be folly of the greatest order.

Though I would not put it past the current occupant of the oval office to attempt such a thing.

So no, I don't think the majority of the Armed Forces would stand behind such an order.

As the prospect of a hot war picks up in the middle east, owing mostly to dithering on the part of the Obama white house, we should probably start now to insure that the conflict is called "Obama's War"

It's possible that the prospect of having a war named after him might seem even worse than having an environmental disaster with your name on it.
