... other forces are at work.

This is not science; other forces are at work -H Lewis

This is an important moment in science history. I would describe it as a letter on the scale of Martin Luther, nailing his 95 theses to the Wittenburg church door. It is worthy of repeating this letter in entirety on every blog that discusses science. Anthony Watts

It's not necessary for everybody to get so wrapped up in the science of the global warming fraud that it distracts from life, especially when people like Anthony Watts do it for us.  It is necessary that we know the truth about what's been going on however.  The resignation of a previously strong advocate of man caused climate change was a major big deal in that community, yet garnered nary a mention in the Algore media. I don't think any of us, me included, appreciate just how close we came, and still could, to abject slavery.

While Copenhagen and its excesses rage, a quiet revolution is starting.

Indeed, not so quiet now. It looks like it is getting ugly inside with the public airing of the resignation of a very prominent member who writes:

I don’t believe that any real physicist, nay scientist, can read that stuff without revulsion. I would almost make that revulsion a definition of the word scientist.
    …
In the interim the ClimateGate scandal broke into the news, and the machinations of the principal alarmists were revealed to the world. It was a fraud on a scale I have never seen, and I lack the words to describe its enormity. Effect on the APS position: none. None at all. This is not science; other forces are at work.- Hal Lewis

That is a big nail in the coffin of AGW and puts paid to the "consensus" argument.

Consensus isn't science.

Letting them pretend it was was one of our first mistakes.

Preview the next fraud that'l be foisted on the public. "Caloric restriction leads to longer life" You can already see blurbs of this in the news. It's very scientific. It dovetails nicely with Obamacare and many environmental causes too. But if it were true, lifespans would've been longer in the 1950's than they are now. I hear the drumbeats...

"Consensus isn't science." Exactly, and they don't even have that anymore.

I like to refer to politicized science, the most dangerous kind of quackery, as Lysenkoism (not Lysenkoism, the quack theory, but a generalized Stalinistic adherence to a politically useful Sorelian myths labeled as science). Gore is the new Trofim Denisovich Lysenko, and if left untreated, may result in electoral dysfunction and mass death.
I have already awarded Gore, among others, the coveted "Trofie."

Don't pick on Gore; he's just the useful idiot.
