Our
son Hucker and his family host family Thanksgiving every year.
He
makes the best turkey known to man. I know you think you know
someone
else who has that distinction, but you'd be mistaken. That said,
his
turkey is very labor
intensive; what with basting every 15 minutes for
the duration (he began at 5:30 AM today). Anyway, while going to
someone
else's home for Thanksgiving means no work, and no clean-up
if you
leave after dessert ("we have to feed/walk/bury the dog/cat/finch'),
the
downside is - no turkey leftovers. Tonight I'll be working on
some stuffing;
in the morning I'll go to Food Lion and buy a turkey. A minute
after getting home we should be scarfing down some nice turkey
sammiches. I'll let you know.
