California Burnin'

Calif. set to adopt sweeping
cap-and-trade rules

California’s cap-and-trade rules would set up the largest U.S. carbon trading market as the way to enforce the state’s gradually tightening cap on emissions.

California Burnin'
California Burnin'

The next logical step for California is building a fence across its border (the border that runs north/south) to keep people from escaping.  I don't expect to get an answer, but I would genuinely like to hear from just one California resident who thinks this is a good idea, and why.  Srsly.

Also, I'm every bit Obama's equal as a constitutional scholar, although maybe not on par with actual constitutional scholars, and here's my thinking.  There is a tension between the principles set forth, as expressed in the Preamble, Bill of Rights, etc, in our founding documents, and what is actually constructed by the three branches of government supposedly governed by them.  Individual state constitutions must be in harmony with the master plan, but in California's case the tension became so great that its government broke.  Snapped in two.  It seems to me, then, that it is every Californian's sacred patriotic duty to physically restore order --  at the point of many, many guns if necessary (and it will be).

As for the rest of the nation, it's imperative that we wean ourselves from any reliance on that state's produce, both food and silicon.  Too unreliable. And for God's sake, don't give that bum any money; it'll just be spent on whatever the hell got her that way.

Newton's laws aren't just physical. It's not a question of "if" but "when".

Well, what industry are they talking about. They don't make anything in Cali anymore, its just one big financial services office now. How are they going to change their air standards? Is there a catalytic converter for bongs?

:What Industry"? Anonymous is missing the play here...

This is the camel's nose into the tent. Someone is going to make a ton on this.

Build a fence across the northern border too. Contrary to conventional wisdom, we don't want them either.

After reading Victor Davis Hanson's latest on central California it seems to me that it is just a matter of time before it becomes a mini-Mexico narco area. It will take a military occupation to restore law and order.

It seems the more the residents of CA shriek in pain from the state's fiscal immolation, the more the powers that be pour fuel on the flames.

I'm sick of hearing about Kalifornica. If you don't live there, there's no problem. If you do, you ARE the problem. If you don't like it, MOVE! If you stay, shut up and deal with it.

Wait, I thought you HAD actually read it. That'd make you his superior.

On a separate note, if they removed the millions of illegals living in CA, wouldn't that give CA a net-positive effect on CO2 emissions?
