Hanging Genachowski

Why We Hanged Genachowski
Wave goodbye to Internet freedom

With a straight face, Mr. Genachowski suggested that government red tape will increase the "freedom" of online services that have flourished because bureaucratic busybodies have been blocked from tinkering with the Web. Ordinarily, it would be appropriate at this point to supply an example from the proposed regulations illustrating the problem. Mr. Genachowski's draft document has over 550 footnotes and is stamped "non-public, for internal use only" to ensure nobody outside the agency sees it until the rules are approved in a scheduled Dec. 21 vote. So much for "openness." DDD
Good article from WaTimes nicely sums up ... .
It's not clear why the FCC thinks it needs to intervene in a situation with obvious market solutions. ... Freedom and openness should continue to be the governing principles of the Internet. That's why Mr. Genachowski's proposal should be rejected and Congress should make it even more clear that the FCC should stop trying to expand its regulatory empire.

Unfettered flow of information is always despised and harrowed by Socialism and it's extended family:
Naziism, Fascism,Communism,and seemingly, Islam.
Anyone who votes in favor of this bullshit needs to be voted out of office and have a good asswhipping.

Explain to me how so many so called right-wingers feel we need to block and stop wikileaks? Let me guess, because the government says it is for our own personal safety? Was wikileaks bad when it published the global warming emails?

wikileads didn't publish the global warming emails.

Wikileaks poses a clear and present danger to the security of the United States. How's that?

Yup, typical so-called right-winger calling for bigger government, and more regulation. (In the name of security and safety of course.)

The problem isn't wikilinks, the problem is giving "government secrets" to people who would release them. Do you think your wonderful idea of more government interference and government regulation of the internet is going to stop the information from getting out? Did it stop spam? Does it stop illegal drugs? The only thing you want is more government in your life. The government having the power to shut down a website because it is a threat to the state gets you excited. Ahhh the smell of government.

You better remove your 9-18 and birther links, you are a threat to the safety and security of this nation!
