    WASHINGTON — Not even 24 hours after President Obama met with senior Republican Congressional leaders and expressed hopes for a “new dialogue,” renewed partisan fury engulfed the Senate on Wednesday, as Republicans threatened to block any legislation until a deal is reached to extend the expiring Bush-era tax cuts, potentially derailing the Democrats’ busy end-of-year agenda. The blunt threat was made in a letter to the majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, and signed by all 42 Senate Republicans. A good excuse to not allow lame duck crap like new amnesty laws pass.

What they plan to do is fine by me.
But they should just do it,not write letters about their intentions. It probably will not work because Democrats really want tax increases for everyone, and this will just give them an excuse to do nothing and let the Bush tax cuts expire. The letter will be used as proof that the Republicans are responsible for the in creased taxes on everyone.

Once again I am confused. When the Bush tax cuts were passed in 01 and 03, the Dingbatcrats cried that they were tax cuts for the rich and nothing for the middle class. Now that the cuts are to expire, the Welfarecrats are crying that the middle class is going to get whacked. Did the 01/03 rich become the 10 middle class?
