What's worse than Democrat scum?

If the Republic bill:
Allows me to buy insurance over state lines.
Brings back the ability to use HSA's for over the counter meds.
Transfers the tax advantages for health care payments from business to individuals.
I am all for it. - 1/25/11, 1:36 PM

One of the few good ideas McCain had was to try to equalize the tax treatment of individually bought and employer provided insurance.
The basic insurance needed is high deductible policies. Doctors need to realize that they work for the patient not the insurance company or government. Have you ever tried to get a price quote from a doctor? They look at you like you are cray.

Obviously we have to cap court awards against doctors, we have to take the employers and the HMOs out from between the doctor and patient, and we have to remove deliberately high fees that are routinely discounted for employer plans but serve to penalize the uninsured by creating a dicey overpricing of services. Require that all insurance take the form of HSAs.Put everyone on HSAs.

Any bill that doesn't address tort reform (insurance gobbles 30-40% of most dr.s gross) and medical schools (libtard training + keeps # of dr.s down) will ultimately add more expense with little benefit. Trial lawyers give more to Democrats than any other group, so they will set up a howl, and teachers unions give a big chunk, +add lots of writing, gravitas, and turn out more libtards, and we can expect mojo problems from public unions (they will know they are next)..
It will be a giant problem, possibly our biggest in many ways, to pry medicine out of the vampires. - 1/26/11, 10:32 AM
