The
attempt to
block funding is part of a must-pass
spending bill to keep the
government running past March 4. Obama has threatened to veto
this budget. Government will shut down. In the past (1995),
Bill Clinton cut a back-room deal with the federal employee union
(AFSCME) guaranteeing workers would publicly blame, and heap scorn
upon Newt's House Republicans, and not him. Of
course the media were there to capture all the sob stories about missed
opportunities to snow-mobile in Yellowstone and see the Air-Space
museum. Big
Government nicely explains what to expect. This will be so
fun - if our guys play it right. Boehnor doesn't have the mettle,
but Teapartiers seem to be holding sway, so far.
