"Senate Kills House Debt Bill"
and then Chucky Schumer and "Leader(?????)" Reid whine like petulant children when minority leader McConnel won't allow Reid's pet bell to go through on a simple majority vote ten minutes later.
Reid tables the House bill, actually the SECOND HOUSE BILL, no debate, no discussion, no nothing, just WHAM, and then labels the R's as 'blocking, disruptive, any-fricken-adjective-you-like' because they won't do what he wants.
Wow.
If I were driving the bus, I'd suggest the House pass a 10-minute increase in the debt ceiling. A week at a time, passing additionally all kinds of options to kill the overspending, balance the budget, etc, making Reid eat his "peas" so to speak WEEKLY.
Let the US population find out how the D's refuse to reign in spending, and guarantee our grand babies will be born broke.
Un-conscionable deceit and dishonesty.

Agree, Tom.
One item at a time. A bill to just raise the debt limit to prevent default.
Then after that, one to pay for old folks SS checks.
Then one to pay military salaries.
Just one at a time to pay for individual essentials that the dem cong can't get away with not funding before elections.
And when they ask about bills for Obama's crap, just laugh at them.
Get them on record for voting against individual items, like preventing default, or cutting checks for old folk's SS. - 7/30/11, 10:34 AM
