Evidently it doesn't even matter if there is a referendum, as long as the vote isn't "correct". Look what's going on in Houston.
They voted redlight cameras out - but they can not be removed, no matter what the people say.

Remember...The police are YOUR FRIENDS!
If your are not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.
The Police are YOUR FRIENDS.
Everything has been put in place, the government will take care of you. Don't resist, just submit.
(oh... keep fooling yourself in believing that someone with an "R" after their name actually gives a crap. Worry more about the birth certificate, cause that is soooo important with all the other crap they are doing.)
-Your anonymous friend.
I wonder if Jeremy Clarkson knows about them?
The rigorous use of traffic laws to generate revenue for police agencies and municipalities is having unintended consequences. It in effect criminalizes the working populace of a mostly law abiding populace. In several counties the conservative populace has gone from pro-law enforcement to "I wouldn't piss on them if they were one fire." Law suits have been filed and hostility is open and growing. Some sheriff's are in line to lose their jobs and local intelligence to the police/deputies has been cut off. With people losing work they are in no mood for bullshit tickets.
Of course they are criminalizing the working populace... they are the ones they can get money from.
It is estimated that each of us commits 3 federal felonies a day. That way they can hammer us any time we stick our heads up too high.
