Obama fact checking

A real example of the eRumor as it has appeared on the Internet:

This is from Mark Knoller of CBS. The pilots and crew of Air Force One are flying more hours than a rookie on a beer run. They are tired of it too, and are adding more crew to Air Force-1, - I know this for a fact because I'm one of the instructors that trains the crews. Our company (Atlas Air) has had the Air Force-1 and E-4 contract for over two years and I've been doing it for about 8 months now.

Last year (2010) Obama flew in Air Force One 172 times, almost every other day.

White House officials have been telling reporters in recent days that the Democrat doesn't intend to hang around the White House quite so much in 2011. They explain he wants to get out more around the country because, as everyone knows, that midterm election shellacking on Nov. 2 had nothing to do with his health care bill, over-spending or other policies, and everything to do with Obama's not adequately explaining himself to his countrymen and women.

This is maybe only the third "spam" info letter like this (usually done in super size fonts of varying color) has panned out. And I've received literally hundreds, if not thousands of them. Today. Curious, I Googled "This is from Mark Knoller of CBS."  There were various fact checkers that, like TruthOrFiction.com, verified the story.

President Obama Flew on Air Force One 172 Times in 2010-Truth!
Summary of the eRumor:

This is a forwarded commentary allegedly by CBS Reporter Mark Knoller that says President Obama flew on Air Force One 172 times during the year 2010, at the expense of the American taxpayer of $181,757 per flight hour.

But wait ... there was something strange about the search  results.  No Snopes.  This is the first time ever that  I've searched for anything about Obama that Snopes wasn't front and center.  I actually had visit Snopes site and search.  Here's what I got.

Snopes Not Voting

Some of you may not know that Snopes is operated by a leftist husband and wife team out of their kitchen.  If it's nonpolitical they generally  get things right (unless it's "That would be in the butt, Bob"), but political facts are always presented with a left bias that often morph into outright fabrication.  I'm laughing because I'm thinking even these two sycophants are prolly sick and tired of covering for this administration

Thank you Frank and Evvy.

Rumor has it that there is no joy in Snopesville. Can the tell-all be far behind?

That's almost every other day, and the cost stated probably does not include the backup AF-1, the Marine One helos, the AF transports for his limos and helos and advance details, etc..
I think he travels so much because:

1. He can't stay around the White House - that would mean work, which would reveal his ignorance to staffers, and Wookie riding his spider ass.
2. He has to have a regular dose of the narcotic high of adulation from an audience hand picked and scripted from Democrat central casting. He is a narcissist to the point of psychosis. Ever wonder why he has never offered to address a Tea Party Town Hall and win them over to "his" 'ideas'? Because he would get hard questions and facts, not blind stupid adulation, and his ego could not stand that, and he's too fucking stupid to defend his ideas without a script, that's why.

I had read somewhere that Snopes was owned by Turner. It would figure that asshat was involved. I used to use them too but, no longer. I like peas - not canned only frozen or fresh.

Truthorfiction.com is a better, but not totally non-political site.
