Damn seals eat salmon right out of a fishermans net. They rip the belly out and leave a worthless carcass. I wonder what seal tastes like. Seal skin coats were like inch thick neoprene. Thick, dense, waterproof fur. Thats what I remember, from when it was still legal for a Native Alaskans to sell such hand crafted luxeries.

Seal skin rifle scabbards and seal skin coats; great stuff! I have sampled seal meat, better than starving, can't even imagine eating it in the old preferred Inupiat way; rotten for tenderness.
