Anonymous said...: I love ya Casca but Nickelback has co-opted all that is annoying about contemporary music and therefore has become a cliche and an object of hatred by those that cannot deal with the trite and worn out fabric of popular music and a tired pop music culture.

I mean, good for you if you dig their songs.

But many now find them to liken a stabbed liver.

Try and understand.

Hey, hey, HEY! Don't you *DARE* compare Nickleback to King's X! King's X gave us 5 perfect albums in a row: Out of the Silent Planet; Gretchen Goes to Nebraska; Faith, Hope, Love; King's X; and Dogman. I'm not so fond of their newer stuff, but even those are heads and shoulders above most anything else.

Compare Nickleback to Creed, instead. Puddle of Mudd, perhaps. Foo Fighters wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Some talentless hacks like that. Maybe if one of them sucks a shotgun, a Nirvana comparison would suffice.
