One of my little mutts woke me up this morning at 0400 begging to go out. Opened the back door, he took two steps onto the deck, looked through the fence for deer, saw nothing and walked back in. Ignor Amos is right on the money.

I don't think they have any particular reason to go in or out. They just like having people hold doors for them.

Dog prob'ly doesn't even live there.
A neighbor's cat comes over in the morning and stares at me through the sliding-glass doors.
Maybe I should put something on.
