There's a lot of slang terms for her "character", but they're usually avoided with most publications.

I, as a young pup, used to have a crush on her when the first Harry Potter movie came out (and probably still do, isn't that how it goes?) But she seems like a very intelligent girl. She went to Brown, took a break from acting to be normal for a little while.
I think she's just making the appearance that all young, possibly type cast actresses have to make to stop from fading away.
Not everyone is going to go down the DUI road. I think she is probably far more calculating of what those pictures will mean for her career, than we give her credit for.

Unlike the rest of you I actually took Baron du Toit's long-standing orders and hied my butt over and READ the article. Before one goes off half cocked (pun intended) casting aspersions on Miss Watson's character, consider this quote:
"When I read the script and I realised that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it's become to our society, I had to do it," says Watson of The Bling Ring. "The character is everything that I felt strongly against - she's superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She's all of these things and I realised that I hated her. How do you play someone you hate? But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job, or my role as an actress, could be."
Detention with Snape for the lot of you. -
