It seems that a major problem of our (USA) level of prosperity is people who have never known any type of want, in any way, can be taken seriously when they advocate destroying the very system that made them that way. Dr Sowell said it well when noted "Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. In area after area - crime, education, housing, race relations - the situation has gotten worse after the bright new theories were put into operation. The amazing thing is that this history of failure and disaster has neither discouraged the social engineers nor discredited them."

But Sir Tim, do you not know that today's unfulfilled wants are tomorrows rights? All you need is a flaky activist judge to render some gibberish application to our bill of rights and the will of the people is out the door. Make way for the pedophile satanic Nazi nudist clowns who will teach the next generation of of kindergarten children. -Anymouse

That's
NRO's Wesley J. Smith coming to the same conclusion most of us here
have been talking about for the past 8 years (at least). My first
warning sign came when I picked my son up at the airport after his
first semester at UNLV. Knowing how much I liked the subject, he
told me about his incredible history class! When we got home he
immediately unpacked and gave me his text book. “
It took me less than 5 minutes to have that notion shattered all to hell. Which y'all by now are aware (
