Calming the Seas

Playing Catch-up

In the past, and we're talking 14 years here, a sudden sparsity of blog posting was due to miasma.  Now it's due, largely, by having so much to rail about that I don't know where to begin.  Okay, there is a certain miasma, perhaps, in that I really can't see a way to to reverse our country's slide into .. into something that was unimaginable even 20 years ago.  Where tyranny by a minority trumps the constitution and half the population applauds.  I reached a point where I was so filled with hatred for anyone I saw as part of the problem, aka anyone who was not apologetic for ever voting for any Democrat, that, not only was I miserable, but I made anyone around me .... erm, uncomfortable.  Odd as it seems, a turning point came when MoSup and I began watching the Blue Bloods series.

Every episode rang true
well, except for the Black mayor who is not only open to suggestion, but shows a good deal of common sense to boot.  There are no Democrat politicians in my experience who have those qualities (but it is the liberal wet dream, as witness the Black President in the 24 series, who, with the verisimilitude rating of minus-6, is more Thomas Jefferson than Brok Obama).

Anyway, at the end of each episode the Reagan family get together for a family meal, a wonderful model for any family.  It's here that — one reader here called it the "Greek Chorus" they toss around current events, ideas and philosophies.  I felt good after every episode; I think because so many of the values I grew up with were in evidence.

I did that video a month ago.  That's how far behind I am.  Maybe its the cork in the monkeys ass.

One would think they would be grateful for the free advertising and promotions, the schmucks.

Nope just black static. Rog, I am glad you are back. Your blog is one of the few sites I religiously read. Don't have the time or b/p medication to put up with much else. The recent SCOTUS traitorous events I am more convinced that the end is nigh. Don't know how many fellow readers are of the same mind but,

I saw a post on Facebook of a 1965 Paul Harvey commentary where he poses as the devil and tells us what he would do to make the devil's takeover possible and the recent events and progressive buildup have mirrored a 50 year old commentary remarkably.

I long for the days where we could say what we wanted and every word was not dissected and made out to be mean or evil. Homosexuals comprise less than 3% of the nation and they seem to run the show. Why won't conservative "decent" people ever win this argument? Because we will not stoop to the tactics the evil bastiches have done to do so. They use lies, deceit and any filthy thing they can to win and they are.

Is there any hope for decency in the United States any longer or will the devil actually win? If you follow the Bible, you know the answer already and if not, I will clue you in, it will get much worse for those evil ones.

Rog,

Loved the "...open to suggestion" line. I've been working these past two years for a black man who has all the answers... except he hasn't been able to figure out how to get rid of me. At the end of September he shuffles off to somewhere else where he'll do no work, and keep others from being productive too. Short of calamity, I will have survived.

In Murphy's World, the God of All Men is sitting in a very comfortable, high-backed office chair behind a very large, hand carved mahogany desk, and on the video wall across His office the sights and sounds of our humble planet are presented for His review.

And He's getting more p*ssed by the moment! He performs a Bing! search for "Armageddon," and considers His options for the cure for what ails this cesspool we call home.

He keys in His info and Visa card number
(this sort of thing does NOT come cheap,)and His finger pauses over the "SEND" key.

I believe that we have reached the point where it will take Divine Intervention to set things "right" once again, sort of like when He re-set the dinosaurs so there'd be room for "Mankind 1.0" to step up.

We're beyond political solutions; we need something better!
