Our kids live in the Bay Area where raccoon are rampant and quite defiant toward humans. I would LOVE to spring this magic act on them! Sharing this video with them. -

This is a way aside, but I remember reading an article in Smithsonian mag ca.1975, abot a raccoon that showed up at these people's house every Monday night. They'd let it in; he would watch "I Love Lucy," and leave. They are among the smartest of animals but can cause great damage if they invade your home.
