Today's Hero

Absolutely. Politicians, chiefs of police, every damned one of them. And while we're at it, there's talk bubbling up again about California seceding. If they do, then arrest the governor and every other politician responsible. And while the situation is being straightened out, inform the DNC that their seceded state just cost them 55 electoral votes. Let the MSM report that, if they have need of news.

My opinion, FWIW, is that selective or arbitrary enforcement of existing law by LEOs or courts or legislatures is abuse of power, plain and simple.

Disagreeing with laws is not a valid reason for ignoring or resisting them. Allowing authorities to do so promotes favoritism, bribery, and eventually tyranny.

And that includes special consideration for special people, such as minorities, illegals, pezzonovante, government officials, celebrities, and LEOs themselves.

So there!

Don't they understand that alcohol is offensive to Muslims?

That would lead to the imprisonment of the entire state legislature in California, plus most city governments. There would be dancing in the streets.

"There would be dancing in the streets."

In places other than California ... yes.

"... and the ICE director singled out local and state leaders of sanctuary locales as accountable for crimes committed by undocumented immigrants in their areas."

A couple of years ago I made exactly this point. I posited these asshats are accessories before the fact and should receive the same punishment as the perps. As a minimum, there should be no taxpayer funding of their defense and all punitive awards should start with handing over their assets.

Now there's a copper who looks like a copper ought to look.

Anyone ever been fool enough to resist his arrest? I think not.
