Feminazi Mayhem

UNHINGED

Flyers advertising an upcoming speech at Cal State LA by Christina Hoff Sommers — a talk titled “Where Feminism Went Wrong” — were ripped down by what appears to be a female student who called the posters offensive, according to a video of the incident.

The vandalism occurred Thursday morning at the public campus, according to Young Americans for Freedom, a conservative campus club hosting the talk.

Sommers’ talk, slated for Oct. 4, suggests that “feminism used to demand equality … now it demands safe spaces, trigger warnings and has become hostile to men,” the flyers say.

[...]

“Thankfully, CSULA YAF printed thousands of fliers and is well-equipped to replenish the campus in the wake of desperate feminists vandalizing their property,” the group stated in response to the incident. [FULL]

Who knows what's going on  with this girl who is seemingly wearing men's underpants on her head, and sporting Three Stooges? tats.  Maybe bitter because she was never asked to the prom?  Or unhinged over Hillary's impending humiliation at the polls?  It would be an act of Mercy if a CSULA fraternity assigned a pledge to ask her out on a date.  Could work wonders on her.  Or horse tranquilizers.

The Seahorse Mithology

WHO DA MAN?
Gary Larsen

I have the rather amazing ability to immerse myself in a given discipline and, in pretty short order, gain PhD equivalence.  Sometimes I don't require anything but common sense to kick the underpinnings from so called "scientific" facts.  Like yesterday.

I was watching a Nat Geo channel show about sea life when the subject turned to the seahorse.  Straight away the (female) "expert" asserted that, alone among fish, the male of the species carries and gives birth to baby seahorses! Now, this is not the first time I've heard that, but after honing my senses during the recent serge of phony bullshit that's swamped the culture, it lit me up this time.  The viewer is told that the male seahorse is identified by the "brood pouch" on his belly.  The female seahorse has no brood pouch.  So let's walk this through.
  • The male seahorse makes a pinging noise to attract a mate.
  • They "do it", and the male is left with a belly full of fertilized eggs.
  • The female is last seen flitting about without a care.
  • The male gives birth .
Right. I am not making this up.

Now, take 4 or 5 seconds and ask yourself, hey, what's the difference between a male and female of any species?  That's right.  The female gets her eggs fertilized by the male and later gives birth.  Sometimes the male will stick around and help to build a nest, and even babysit after the birth; others keep "bar-hopping." But, the thing that gets knocked up, to be crude, is the thing that's the female.  Period.  Right?  Of course.

So what we have here is possibly the first known attempt by "feminist" scholars to advance the notion of their superiority. And, so far male fishologists, either through timidity, or lacking any critical thinking ability,  haven't questioned it.  Now it's  accepted "science." Well, I'm not taking it anymore! Dammit.  And neither should you.

Women Packing Iron

a major award

Last women wash out of Ranger School
Biology: 1 Political Correctness: 0

[...] For those who aren’t familiar with the course, it is 61-days of intense stress, sleep deprivation, lack of food and any other item that could conceivably make life at the bottom of Maslow’s Heirarchy not a challenge, and general suck. The graduation rate is a [deleted]-hair above 50% but this masks the fact that 37% of all graduates have to repeat at least one phase. So 61-days is really a best case and most graduates spend closer to 75-days in the course. One of my officers started the course three times before finally completing it as distinguished honor graduate.

One hardly knows what the Army was thinking. If physical standards aren’t radically changed for women, and Bruce Jenner isn’t in the class, human physiology in terms of muscle mass, weight, bone structure, and upper body strength indicate that few, if any, birth-women (I guess we have to start using this now to be clear) can pass the program. Personally, I was betting the Army would fold like a cheap suit. When the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff says:

“Importantly, though, if we do decide that a particular standard is so high that a woman couldn’t make it, the burden is now on the service to come back and explain to the secretary, why is it that high? Does it really have to be that high?”

The remaining eight female Ranger School candidates failed the first phase of the U.S. Army’s elite infantry program, the Army said in a statement late Friday. Of the eight women, five were kicked out of training. Three others will be allowed to start over from the beginning of the first phase of Ranger School. Those three will start class on June 21. The Army said in a statement that 29 students failed to meet the standards of phase one, also known as the Darby Phase. A vast majority of the students who are being dropped from the course were unable to successfully lead a patrol. All students received multiple opportunities to lead a patrol as a squad or team leader, the Army said.
And, of course, the reason we would be questioning that is that any woman’s career is much more important than any number of bodies left strewn about a battlefield.

Much to my surprise, the Ranger cadre have held firm to the macro-standards. Of the 19 women in the first class, eleven did not complete the first four days, the Ranger Assessment Program — what used to be known as City Phase, of the course. At the end of the Darby Phase, the remaining eight women were recycled having failed to meet the standard necessary to move on to Mountain Phase at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega, Georgia. At the end of the recycle period, five of the remaining eight women were dropped from the course. Three were allowed to start with a new class from Day One. This would entail retaking the Ranger Assessment Program.

[The full SNAFU]

Don't even start.  There is nobody on this blog who loves women more than me, but puh-leeez!  I am forever and  adamantly against throwing our women into combat roles for the obvious sexist (yes, it is technically sexist) reasons—which necessitate letting women cadets at West Point parade with lightweight wood replicas of the rifles the man carryas I'm told they did; and all the rest the the Patsy Schroederization We Are Woman crap.  But even more importantly, cloistering women with men on long combat tours, especially aboard ships, creates unnecessary tensions plus morale and disciplinary problems.  You know very well what I mean. We don't have to so this.

Cry Rape

    Liberal RAPE Culture

Man-haters, the falsity of rape culture, and the attack on truth
As it becomes increasingly clear that the Rolling Stone reporting on an alleged gang rape at the University of Virginia was not mere hyperbole but actually deliberate deception by the reporter, Sabrina Rubin Erdely, and seemingly the management of the magazine one of the most disturbing things to come to light is the way the bogus “rape culture” crisis on college campuses is being used to turn American jurisprudence on its head.

First off, let’s clear away the undergrowth. There is no “rape culture” out there. Rape and sexual assault do happen. There is no doubt of that. But a “rape culture” exists only in the minds of rabidly misandrist feminists, like, for instance, Amanda Marcotte, who loathe men ....

Bad Journalism, Even If It Were True
Rolling Stone’s Sabrina Rubin Erdely, who has written for everybody from GQ to Mother Jones, is a practitioner of the Red Queen school of journalism: execution first, trial after. She went out looking for a gonzo campus-rape story and, when she could not find a real one, found a woman willing to supply her with a fake one, an obviously suspicious tale of a vicious gang rape over several hours at the hands of UVA fraternity members, complete with dialog right out of an after-school special — “Don’t you want to be a brother?” “Her reputation will be shot for the next four years” — and inconsistencies that require the active suspension of disbelief. Whether Erdely knew that the story was fake is not entirely beside the point, but ignorance is not an excuse, either — not for her, and not for her editors. She had a positive obligation not to publish the story she had, because the story was insufficient on any responsible journalistic grounds. It was rubbish, she knew it, and Rolling Stone managing editor Will Dana damned sure should have known it. This is stuff they teach to freshmen reporters at college newspapers. ...

This story, while not flying under my radar, just didn't interest me.  After a cursory glance I filed it under "Duke Lacrosse Rape." But it's become impossible to get away from.  I posted samples above, but I recommend Bad Journalism, Even If It Were True because it examines the J-School culture,  and names names.
When I was a student at the University of Texas, I served as managing editor of our school paper, the (all hail!) Daily Texan, as a consequence of which I did something that no self-respecting journalist should do: I took a journalism class, media law and ethics, which was a requirement for serving as M.E. For my sins, I drew as my professor the daft left-wing windbag Robert Jensen, whose first lecture consisted of a screed against the presence of sports sections in newspapers, which Professor Jensen considered an ethical problem in that they contributed what he believed to be an unhealthy competitiveness in our society. Naturally, I never went to Professor Jensen’s class again, and got my media law and ethics from the superbMike Quinn, who also had some interesting observations about JFK conspiracy theories. (Quinn had covered the assassination for the Dallas Morning News.) I learned some useful and practical things, one of which was how to go about preventing myself from publishing lies fed to me by others, a useful skill if you spend time around politicians and political activists. Westboro Feminists

    Liberal Culture

SHIRT CRIME

This week TIME Magazine (yes, it is still out there, I was surprised, too) conducted a poll of the word people most wanted banished. Hilariously, “feminist” was winning by a substantial margin when TIME got a case of the heebie-jeebies and pulled “feminist” out of the contest when #Bossy feminists got upset:

On Saturday, Time Magazine Managing Editor Nancy Gibbs added an apology to the news website’s poll asking readers what word they want to ban. At the time, the word “feminist” was winning the poll with over 50 percent of the vote. “Editor’s Note: TIME apologizes for the execution of this poll; the word ‘feminist’ should not have been included in a list of words to ban,” Gibbs wrote. “While we meant to invite debate about some ways the word was used this year, that nuance was lost, and we regret that its inclusion has become a distraction from the important debate over equality and justice.”
But Big #Bossy did score a victory this week, one that they will probably find to be as Pyrrhic a victory as any won by Napoleon on the road to Moscow.

On November 12, the European Space Agency probe, Philae, touched down on a comet called 67P (it has a longer name containing an inordinate number of consonants so I’m using the short name). This was a technical tour de force but what delighted the feminists was the sartorial splendor of project scientist, Dr. Matt Taylor, at the celebratory press conference.

First on the scene was an “ecology” major who writes at The Atlantic who calls herself “Rose Eveleth.” “Rose” suddenly found out that someone had died and made her the official enforcer of fairness for women in STEM which just can’t happen around a shirt as glorious as that worn by Dr. Taylor.

The whole article (Rose Eveleth and the #Bossy Westboro Feminists)  is worth reading; a real hoot. Looking at Rose Eveleth caused me to immediately recall this story.

Sometime post Altamont Concert in December 1969, it became "liberal chic" to have the biker lads, especially Sonny Barger, show up at your soirée. I recall from one of the many books about Barger, how the Angels attended a benefit thrown by some upper west side society gal.  A middle aged matron tried to strike up a conversation with him. He, outfitted in urine and sweat soaked "colors, and swigging beer from a can; She, in the obligatory black cocktail dress, sipping Chablis.  After listening to her for a few minutes,  he stopped her and said, "You need someone to eat your pussy!"  The woman nearly fainted, but get this.  Some days later he gets a phone call from the women asking ... I forget whether he accommodated her.

..Mademoiselle from armatiers, is no more and reduced to tears

Feminist Asshat Culture

Adieu, ‘Mademoiselle’
France bans equivalent of ‘miss’ in government documents

Prior to the ban, women were referred to as either as madame (the English equivalent of Mrs.) or mademoiselle (the equivalent of Miss), depending on their marital status. Men are simply referred to as monsieur (Mr.).

The victory is one for the French feminists who earlier this year were able to eliminate the marital distinction from the town of Cesson-Sevigne. [Full]

NOW HOW NOW COW?

Stuff's Percolatin' Folks
The New Media Journal
Shelly Mandell, the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women and a life-long Democrat, has broken with her national organization stating that, as an individual, she is supporting Sarah Palin and the McCain-Palin ticket this November 4th. Calling Palin a "reformer who will break-up the old-boy network, buck the system and get Washington back on our side,"

Nag Attack! Nag Attack!

NY NOW: "Betrayal!"
Does it get any better?

Whoa. The New York State chapter of the National Organization for Women attacked Ted Kennedy for his endorsement today with some real heat.. The Times Union reported it first (writing, "'Scathing' feels inadequate here."), and I confirmed its authenticity with the president of the organization, Marcia Pappas.

I started to pick out the most eyebrow-raising passages but, that proved kind of hard, so here's the whole thing:

“Women have just experienced the ultimate betrayal. Senator Kennedy’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the Democratic presidential primary campaign has really hit women hard. Women have forgiven Kennedy, stuck up for him, stood by him, hushed the fact that he was late in his support of Title IX, the ERA, the Family Leave and Medical Act to name a few. Women have buried their anger that his support for the compromises in No Child Left Behind and the Medicare bogus drug benefit brought us the passage of these flawed bills. We have thanked him for his ardent support of many civil rights bills, BUT women are always waiting in the wings. [Keep going]
I guess women have really buried Mary Jo too, since she didn't make the list of grievances.   This is like Hitler fighting Stalin, I love watching it.
