Lawyers: To remedy segregation, move programs from predominantly white Maryland colleges to black [Civil rights attorneys in Maryland argued yesterday that, as a remedy for the state college system’s history of racial segregation, some 100 academic programs at predominantly white schools should be axed … and moved to historically black institutions (HBCUs). The state counters that such a redress would have a “‘catastrophic effect’ on the institutions and harm students of all races.” As reported by The Baltimore Sun, this case stems from a 2006 lawsuit when a “coalition of alumni, faculty and advocates” from HBCs “argued that marquee academic programs at well-funded, traditionally white public universities erode similar programs at historically black colleges.” Court-ordered mediation failed to come up with solutions in 2011 and 2014, so both sides ended up back in court. The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law argued on behalf of the plaintiffs that the case is akin to the landmark Brown v. Board of Education. Times Crisis of its pending demise

What it really means is the privilege of not being defined as “other.” Whiteness means being part of the group whose appearance, traditions, religion and even food are the default norm. It’s being a person who, by unspoken rules, was long entitled as part of “us” instead of “them.” But national and racial identity were often conflated for the white majority. That identity felt to many white people like one of the most important pillars holding up their world — and now it seems under threat. [FULL] Right.  The nation's discontent has nothing to do with the onslaught of illegal immigrants, including a million+ undocumented Muslims constituting the greatest internal security threat to us, ever.  Another example of how the Times (ilk) are so caught up in leftist piety that they completely miss the boat—by intent. New website “Hello Racist!” to shame offensive social posts: Will you be listed? A new website, Hello Racist!, has been launched to anonymously expose alleged “racists” on the internet. The site was designed to “expose racism, fight ignorance and be the place where people of all races, religion, and political beliefs can share their stories.” Users can post links or upload screenshots of online exchanges that included racist content. People can then rate the level of racism and leave a comment about the post. The posts contain memes, videos, online conversations, and personal accounts of racism. The site has more than 12,000 members so far. In speaking to the Huffington Post, the founder, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared their beliefs that racism is a learned behavior. “I think when some people are confronted and called out about their racism, it actually does change them,” the founder said. “They become ashamed and embarrassed. But they learn not to do it again.” Read more I love that "the founder wishes to remain anonymous." My guess is it's some pasty faced Liberal Millennial whose life is spent, literally, on social media.  The standard definition of racism is "the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races."  Do you know anyone that fits that all encompassing belief today?  The closest I can come is the Liberal dogma that conservatives  (aka solid Americans) are, by nature, racist.  Today's problem is not racism; it's what I'll call racial-imputism.  That is, the practice of imputing racism to groups or individuals because they don't agree with you. If this thing gets off the ground at all, I suspect it'll last until the first defamation suit is filed, which, if it's me, will happened PDQ. And if it's you, we'll have a defense fund.
