Two News Stories about Rape

Oh My

Woman Charged With Raping Man

(STMW) — A 33-year-old man was allegedly held at gunpoint and forced to have sex with a woman in the backseat of a car after the woman’s female companion offered him a ride on the
Near North Side over the summer.

The man begged his tormentor — who demanded he place his hands on her breasts and buttocks during the July 26 attack — to stop, Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Amanda Pillsbury said Thursday.

Matt Drudge, Artiste

Looking At Drudge the Artist

Drudge Paints Our Government

If one looks at what Matt Drudge does as political art, which I believe it is, what is it his canvasses say?  Every brush stroke holds some significance; nothing is random.  I think this canvas, painted on April 21, 2011, at 7:14 PM, is trying to say this. Another way of saying it might be, "How in the hell did we get this government, and why in hell are they still allowed to show up for work?  Art is interpretive, of course, but that's what I see Drudge saying. He tends to paint ugly things.  (Okay, I added the two Mussolinis)

Japanese Nuke Explosion II

Huge blast at Japan nuclear power plant

Derailed Train Post Quake

WWII is over .  I have great respect for the Japanese ability to make consumer products I must have, and for making me ROR at their cultural idiosyncrasies.   The good news about this blast is, according to the text,  the metal reactor container inside was not damaged, and radiation levels around the plant had fallen after the explosion.

From a selfish pov, however, this will pretty much stop any attempt on our part to overcome the Three Mile Island cultural hysteria, and start building nuclear power plants in the USofA.  The antis will be frothing at the mouth.  So, no oil production+no nuke power = third world nation.

Aside: I renew my request that congress make clear that if San Francisco falls into the ocean, congressmen whose congressional districts no longer exist will be immediately removed.

Sunday's Only the Important News

World’s Largest Science Group Rejecting Man-made Climate Fears
An outpouring of skeptical scientists who are members of the American Chemical Society (ACS) are revolting against the group’s editor-in-chief — with some demanding he be removed — after an editorial appeared claiming “the science of anthropogenic climate change is becoming increasingly well established.”

Hutchison's plan to quit roils Texas GOP

In an interview with Houston's WBAP radio talk-show host Mark Davis, Mrs. Hutchison said she will give up her seat sometime between October and November - (to challenge Rick Perry). That would mean that her seat, which isn't up until 2012, could be filled in a special election as early in May if the governor chose to call one. But a spokesman for Mr. Perry's campaign told The Washington Times he may want to fill the seat "sooner rather than later."

Let's wait and see, but ...

Betting Line

While her story of gang rape and kidnapping may prove out - in my experience about 30% of high profile rape charges are verified - at first blush this stinks.  Smells like another KOS/The Nation/New Republic/ratbastard media fabrication, of which there have been several.    Comments show I'm not alone.
