THEN AND NOW

I'd say it's time we got on a war footing.  Whilst searching for an appropriate WWII poster to make my point,  I found the winner at America’s Disgusting & Idiotic Propaganda Posters of World War II! Was so annoyed I decided to comment, and there, right at the top, somebody had reached into the future and captured word for word what I was going to say.

You are incredibly ignorant. We were at war with these people. There was nothing disgusting or idiotic about these posters. You obviously have not studied any history. Heaven help you, if it wasn’t for the people who fought, you would be speaking Japanese or German. You are disgusting and idiotic, and brainwashed.

Reminding us that we face another problem in the likes of site owner Andrew Anglin who espouses seeking " revolution through the education of the masses. When the information is available to the people, systemic change will be inevitable and unavoidable."

A nice thought ... if you're teaching catechism to second graders.  Like POGO said ...

"Raper her again, harder, harder .." Saudi Fight Song

Homaidan al-Turki’s entire defense strategy from the beginning was Islam. The member of a prominent Saudi family claimed that the prosecution was Islamophobic.

“We are Muslim. We are different. The state has criminalized these basic Muslim behaviors. Attacking traditional Muslim behaviors is a focal point of the prosecution.”

He had a point, because the behavior he was charged with was commonplace back in Saudi Arabia. [Full]

Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio

Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio is a true story of housewife Evelyn Ryan, adapted from a book written by the daughter.  A truly amazing women with 10 kids and a truly worthless husband who is  aptly portrayed by Woody Harrelson.  Evelyn uses her talents to win a large freezer, ice buckets, washer and dryer, trip to New York City, sleds, boots, pony, palm tree, window, sports car, shopping spree in her local grocery store, ice crushers, camera, dance shoes, boat motor, pogo sticks, case of dog food, and a lifetime supply of bird seed.

I gave it 4 stars. Would have been 5,  but I spent so much time hoping that someone was going to kill the husband that it was distracting.

Judge defends 'Under God'

                        'UNDER GOD' Sanity

New Jersey Judge David F. Bauman recently dismissed a case orchestrated by a student, his parents, and the American Humanist Association and ruled that hearing the words "under God" during the Pledge of Allegiance does not violate the constitutional rights of atheist students. In his decision released Monday, Bauman brilliantly laid to rest the notion that the phrase can, or should, be erased from America's history.

“As a matter of historical tradition, the words ‘under God’ can no more be expunged from the national consciousness than the words ‘In God We Trust’ from every coin in the land, than the words ‘so help me God’ from every presidential oath since 1789, or than the prayer that has opened every congressional session of legislative business since 1787,” the judge wrote in his decision.

Bauman added, “The Pledge of Allegiance, in this historical context, is not to be viewed, and has never been viewed, as a religious exercise."

The student's lawsuit, filed last year, argued against the phrase being recited during school hours because he felt it singled out atheists and non-believers, making them feel like "second-class citizens." His attorneys argued that hearing the pledge would cause atheist students to feel "just as America’s Jews, Hindus, and Muslims would feel excluded, marginalized and stigmatized if they were told by their government on a daily basis that the United States is one nation ‘under Jesus.’”

However, Judge Bauman didn't see it that way. He explained that the various references to God in the nation's history, documents, and practices indicates no endorsement of a specific faith, but simply a recognition to the importance religion has played in the founding of America.

The unnamed student tried for equal protection under the New Jersey state constitution, only to be reminded by Bauman that it also references "Almighty God:"

Under plaintiffs’ reasoning, the very constitution under which plaintiffs seek redress for perceived atheistic marginalization could itself be deemed unconstitutional, an absurd proposition which plaintiffs do not and cannot advance here. Protecting students from viewpoints and ideas that may offend or upset them is not and has never been the role of public schools in America.

Judge Bauman advised the student to remain silent during the Pledge of Allegiance if he so chooses. There are no plans to appeal the decision.  [FULL]

There's a huge difference between atheists and "Professional Atheists."  The former, as I know them, are decent and good people.  The Professional Atheist is a Lying MFCS, and I am at war with that lot.  God save them!

  • For "obstructing the education process" by wearing the NRA Tee
  • Resisting an officers demand to turn the Tee inside out so nobody could read it.

Here's where we're at.  If the voters in that school district don't force change,  then they have condoned this ridiculousness.   The kid made himself vulnerable by refusing a "lawful/unlawful" demand by some lawman.  Again, the citizenry have smack-down power; a.k.a. "good men doing something."

When women vote ...

    Liberal Culture

THE Nineteenth Amendment Killed A Nation Dead
I remember 1992 news items about women admitting to dreams about having sex with candidate Bill Clinton.  This was new ground, as was just about everything about the Clintons.  It is a matter of record, however, that the woman vote put that slug in the White House.  Twice.  Later,  reporterette Nina Burleigh  would chip in; "I'd be happy to give him [oral sex] just to thank him for keeping abortion legal."  Democrat campaign strategists knew a good thing when they saw it, and packages were put together.

With the emergence of the Gay and Lesbian vote they pulled out all the stops.

Yesterday's news that Martin "White Obama" O'Malley would formally announce his 2016 candidacy on May 30 was accompanied (O'MALLEY READY! Drudge ) with this campaign released photo.

I can't think of any GOP candidate, ever, whose campaign used beefcake the way Democrats do.  Make of that what you will.  But things will only get worse.

She’s baaaaaaaack. And she’s maaaaaad.

STFU  Michelle

She’s baaaaaaaack. And she’s maaaaaad.

First lady Michelle Obama delivered the commencement address at Tuskegee University last weekend. She’ll do it again at Ohio’s Oberlin College — the UC Berkeley of the Midwest, Ground Zero for racial grievance-mongering and fake hate crimes — next week.

Commencement FLOTUS is not the same first lady who shows up on “Ellen” or “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” wearing her pastel cardigan, Chuck Taylors and a megawatt grin. No, this frowny-faced Michelle Obama talks and squawks like Al Sharpton in Jimmy Choo kitten heels. At Tuskegee, FLOTUS traded her affable TV persona for the divisive social justice complainer we all came to know and loathe during her husband’s first presidential campaign.

It is especially irresponsible of Mrs. Obama to be spreading her cultural gasoline on college campuses, where the excesses of identity politics and multiculturalism continue to poison young minds.
Obama’s resurrected bitter half inspired the graduates by complaining about people complaining about her. She complained about the “sting” of “daily slights” throughout her life and her poor, beleaguered husband’s. And then she complained. And complained. And complained some more.

She clucked at the “folks” (read: white folks) who allegedly “crossed the street in fear of their safety” at the sight of the Obamas.

She called out unnamed “clerks who kept a close eye on us in all those department stores.”

She decried the racist “people at formal events who assumed we were the ‘help.’” (Funny, the only time I recall this happening in the Obama White House was when Valerie Jarrett mistook four-star Army Gen. Peter Chiarelli, who is white, for her waiter. But I digress.)

Reaching into her deep well of indignation, Mrs. Obama then assailed “those who have questioned our intelligence, our honesty, even our love of this country.”

Let me take out my teeny-weeny bow and play the world’s smallest violin at the thought of Mrs. Obama being subjected to the “sting” of impolite questions about her honesty. Using my best slow vibrato: Waw-waw-waw-wawwww. (CONTINUED)

This kind of stuff drives me batshit. In the first place we have no idea what earth looked like 4.6 billion years ago, or anywhere close.  For all we know our current civilization is the 8th or 9th.  I know what some will say, but Rodge, you do this all the time with  generalizations like "all elected democrats are liars!" But guess what?  I can, and have, produced hard data to back my claims - so stfu!

Boston U prof skates after 'horribly racist' Tweet

"why is white america so reluctant to identify white college males as a problem population?

every MLK week i commit myself to not spending a dime in white-owned businesses.
and every year i find it nearly impossible.

looting is just poor black ppl’s best impression of Wall Street [thanks for capitalizing that … no pun intended] and the *entire rest of america*. wanting unearned goods is not a black trait

WAIT, WITHDRAW MY SUPPORT. HOW ARE YOU A *REPUBLICAN* TRANS WOMAN, BRUCE [Jenner] ????

dear white people: u are all ben affleck. those euphemisms for ur ancestors like “farmers” & “pioneers” means owned humans & killed natives"  Dr. Saida Grundy

Do you want actual racial equality? Do you desire actual racial harmony? I have news for you: you’re in the minority. It seems even the most ardent champions fighting against racism are often avowed racists. Case in point: Dr. Saida Grundy, a black professor set to start teaching at Boston University on July 1.

She decided it was a good idea to get on Twitter and pontificate in a most scholarly fashion concerning the obstacles that need to be destroyed in order to achieve racial equality. Unfortunately, one of those obstacles is apparently the entire white male population. Below are some calm, well-reasoned tweets, absolutely none of which were written in ALL CAPS!!!!!!! or without any punctuation at all, and all of which avoid hasty and/or sweeping generalizations. Because that wouldn't be fitting for a college professor. /sarcasm [Last Resistance]

Just prior to stumbling across that Grundy-race bait,  I saw this blurb about "Confederate  Flag at Prom flag" horror on CNN's  Amtrak story page.  The whole Confederate flag is a racist meme has been explained and refuted so many times (myfavorite is Shelby Foote's) that we know not to try.  Rabble rousing race baiters like Saida Grundy, or Barry Obama for that matter, are not interested in reason.  I'll close by paraphrasing Obama's recent comments about why FOX NEWS needs shutting down.

They will find folks who make me mad. I don’t know where they find them. They’re all like, “this is racist. and so is that,  and if you don't believe me then you be a racist mofo, or whatever.” And that becomes an entire narrative that gets worked up.

When Govt attacks critical media ...

"... I have to say that if you watch Fox News on a regular basis, it is a constant venue. They will find folks who make me mad. I don’t know where they find them. They’re all like, “I don’t want to work. I just want a free Obama Phone, or whatever.” And that becomes an entire narrative that gets worked up. And very rarely do you hear an interview of a waitress, which is much more typical — who is raising a couple of kids and doing everything right but still can’t pay the bills."  Mr. Disingenuous

A proper retort:
KIRSTEN POWERS: ‘IT’S NOT THE ROLE OF THE GOVERNMENT’ TO DELEGITIMIZE FOX NEWS

In the latest episode of the American Enterprise Institute’s “Banter” podcast, Fox News regular Kirsten Powers, author of the new book, “The Silencing: How the Left is Killing Free Speech,” took aim at the Obama White House for the efforts it had made early in President Barack Obama’s presidency to delegitimize Fox News.
Powers explained this was just one instance of the regular occurring theme of some of the left side of the ideological spectrum trying to limit free speech.
“It’s been gradual,” she said. “It started out with the administration’s, what I call the war on Fox News, when they said Fox News is not a legitimate organization and started this really concerted campaign to delegitimize a news organization. That was the first time where I went, ‘Hmm, this doesn’t seem right.” You know, something is a little off here. This isn’t really the role of the government. It isn’t really something the White House should be lending its stature to and the fact that they were unable – as you remember I voted for Obama and he was very popular when he first came in. And the media was completely enthralled by him. So the idea you couldn’t have one media outlet that wasn’t on board with to me was chilling. It was like, ‘Wow, you need everybody worshipping you.’ So that was concerning.”
Powers said at the time she saw it as an isolated incident, but then as the years went by, there were more incidents that caught he attention.

JONESBOROUGH, TN (WJHL) - A sign put up at a Washington County, Tennessee church has people talking. A News Channel 11 viewer contacted us, complaining about the marquee outside.

What you read on the sign depends in which direction you travel down Old Boones Creek Road in Jonesborough. On one side, Jonesborough Baptist Church advertises its Sunday school starting at 10:00 AM. The other side, something totally different, an offer more than an invitation making a point that's purely political.

Well, Brock's own pastor famously proclaimed, "God Damn America," so there's that.

GUIDE to Yemin's KIT KATs

[....]
Yemen was divided into two states, North Yemen and South Yemen, until 1990, when leaders in both countries realized they could merge the states and save on stationery costs. This, however, created deep resentments, much like when a couple move in together and have to consolidate their belongings and get used to sleeping in the same room with someone who insists on keeping the windows open even in winter. But I digress.

These deep resentments have simmered and boiled for the past 25 years, as deep resentments have a habit of doing. It is not improper to suggest that re-dividing the country is a possibility now, particularly when such statements are caveated with ambiguous references. For example, one can say: “The south might push for independence, unless it decides not to.”

Yemen is not religiously homogenous, which always complicates things in Middle Eastern countries, particularly for external observers looking for convenient categorizations. About two-thirds of Yemenis are Sunni while the other third are Shiite. This latter group consists of Zaidi Shiites as opposed to the Shiites of Iran, who are Twelver. But it’s best to lump all these Shiites together because it simplifies things immensely.

Yemen is also host to a thriving al-Qaeda community, whose members are arch-rivals of the Houthis, whose biggest enemy is the current Yemeni president, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. The Houthis are allied with Hadi’s predecessor, Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was their enemy while he was in power. Some analysts think the Houthis have an issue with authority figures. The Houthis are Zaidi Shiites, which explains their hatred of the extremely Sunni al-Qaeda, as if anyone needed a reason to hate al-Qaeda. The two groups are so opposed to each other that the only thing they can agree on is that they both hate America and the Jews, but not necessarily in that order.

The Houthis’ slogan, incidentally, is “Death to America, death to Israel, curse on the Jews, victory to Islam,” which, in the words of Tony Blair, shows “a lack of commitment to the values of tolerance and diversity,” if Tony Blair were to comment on the slogan. It also shows that they are fools, but this shouldn’t cloud our judgment of them.

As is generally known, Yemenis consume the stimulant drug Qat in huge quantities. What is less known is that Sunnis refer to it as Qat while Shiites refer to it as Qit. Children of mixed marriages call it Qit-Qat—an encouraging development amid festering sectarian tensions.

The traditional Yemeni dagger, the janbiya, is also critical to understanding political dynamics in Yemen. All Yemeni males wear this item, but here again Sunni janbiyas curve to the left while Shiite janbiyas curve to the right. Things get confusing if you’re standing in front of a mirror. The leader of the Houthis has been known to hold his janbiya in the upright position, which experts agree is a sign of confrontation (the dagger being a phallic symbol in Yemeni culture). Were he to wear the janbiya at an angle, or even horizontally, we could expect him to negotiate. As it stands, the situation looks very dangerous indeed.

The one thing we can be certain of is that Yemen is at a crossroads. And that crossroads has become a chaotic intersection with no traffic lights now that Iran and Saudi Arabia have chosen Yemen as the next venue for their passive-aggressive regional contest, commonly referred to in the trade as a proxy war. Saudi Arabia is on Hadi’s side while Iran supports the Houthis. But Saudi Arabia now also feels threatened by al-Qaeda. Who doesn’t?

In light of all this, the new leadership in Saudi Arabia has decided to wage war in Yemen (make sure to refer to Saudi Arabia’s “new leadership,” not its “new king,” to imply that there are many people involved in making such decisions). There’s no better way to help small nations get through difficult times in the Middle East than larger, more powerful neighbors attacking them. Few are aware that bombing and invading a country is a sign of paternal love in Arab culture, as Syria clearly illustrated by going out of its way to bomb Lebanon for a decade and a half. Similarly moved, Saudi Arabia is doing Yemen a favor by destroying its airports, infrastructure, and army.

Fortunately, Saudi Arabia has avoided appearances that its war is sectarian by getting other Sunni countries to help it attack Yemen. If this move seems to prove the opposite, that’s because appearances are always deceiving in the Middle East. To further prove that this war isn’t sectarian, Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Shiite Lebanese group Hezbollah, immediately took the side of the Houthis against Sunni Saudi Arabia. The United States, meanwhile, is supporting the Saudis against the Houthis and finds itself indirectly on the side of al-Qaeda in Yemen. While this is embarrassing given the whole War on Terror narrative and America’s ongoing drone strikes on al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen, it will make for a more interesting next season of Homeland. Al-Qaeda has taken advantage of this situation to expand its presence in Yemen, and recently acquired an airport. Though this might sound worrying, it does bring with it the satisfaction of knowing that al-Qaeda now has to worry about airport security.

To sound wise when discussing Yemen, suggest that the decline in the price of oil has something to do with the conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia, but say you’re not quite sure what. Obviously, “the new Saudi leadership wants to send a clear signal about its policy shift, something which is already becoming apparent in Syria.” Hinting at convoluted webs of interconnected conflicts and alliances will make you sound like an expert. Follow all this up by dangling the prospect of a U.S.-Iran nuclear deal, which would no doubt have “an impact on the entire region.” [Full Deal]

I'm still confused, but that's mainly because I no longer care about what makes Islamos do what they do.  All that's important is that that do it,  and they do it a lot. Cockroach infestations sums it up. But, thanks for the heads-up cuzzin ricky.
