Victim disarmament zones make this kind of crap possible.
If the victim is properly armed, the best an assassin can do is shoot him. The worst the assassins can do is fail to hurt the victim and end up all dead except for one in a hospital bed with several bullet wounds and a bunch of cops asking hard questions.
Staged deaths are very difficult when the victim can shoot back. -
