I had to read this for the same reason you will ... validation. Pelosi says she doesn't care if she's hated, and I say bulls__t. Nobody wants to be hated, especially a smug liberal like Pelosi, but what can she say?  Well, that she doesn't care what you think because she only needs  her mostly affluent, overwhelmingly liberal Bay Area district and a 262-member Democratic caucus that respects, fears, and follows her to maintain power.  Which unfortunately for America is true.  “ Last week’s Public Strategies Inc./POLITICO poll brought grim news for Pelosi, revealing that only a quarter of Americans trust the San Francisco Democrat — putting her in the basement with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio). ” Gotta say my antennae are twitching gone crazy over those results.  I doubt even 10% of Americans know who Timothy Geithner is, and I doubt there's 900 people total who don't think "John Boner" is that kid in all those Dirty Johnny jokes.  “ “Nancy Pelosi is not only vastly unpopular with the American public, but her credibility is waning within her own party,” said Ken Spain, communications director for the National Republican Congressional Committee. In a recent interview with POLITICO, Pelosi countered: “Our leadership team is so effective it is driving Republicans to distraction. And they and their allies have decided that I am their target, and they come after me relentlessly — relentlessly. ” Effective isn't the word for it.  Thuggish is. Dissent is forbidden.  Bills are sent to a vote before being read. Republicans are stopped from mailing details to their constituents.  She ends sessions, waits for Republicans to leave, then reconvenes and rams stuff through.  I can, and have, cited several other reasons to hate her guts, treasonous actions included.  If the same standards applied to the our nation's enemies today as were in effect in 1943, Pelosi's plane would be intercepted and shot down over Bougainville.
