I love House. He's my hero and role model. Really.
(No I'm not a doctor).

He'll always be Bertie Wooster to me. Nobody can out-Wooster Hugh Laurie.

I love Jen She took that smelly B.O. pot head when no one else would.

I don't really like her being refered to in this regard.

If you like him in House, you HAVE to watch him in Blackadder (a multi-generation BBC comedy starring Rowan "Mr.Bean" Atkinson):

Laurie's stupid Prince and Evil Ludwig are screamingly funny....

I liked Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley in Harry Potter) and him in One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Just to clarify my comment above.

I love House the character.

Like others I've seen Hugh Laurie in many others series (e.g. Blackadder). The man is very talented. I can't imagine anyone else playing House.

Wow, good call on the Wooster. I hadn't seen that episode, only a few in fact. I have plenny Wodehouse on my Kindle, most read. Have seen House a few times, reminds me of every commenter on this board. Coming full circle, since Rodg saved me the $50 on the Kindle (and Oprah).

Gotta love this Turing word: freque

Hugh Laurie also wrote a book. "The Gun Seller."
It was actually pretty good. Of course the bad guy was a gung ho American General involved with the Military industrial complex trading in high tech lucrative arms illegally, but it was still a pretty good story.

I just got the complete Jeeves & Wooster DVD set. Watched the first disk and laughed my ass off. When he pushes the little kid off the bridge, it was the highlight of my day.

I can't stand the show "House." I just get fed up with these patients. About 40 minutes in, I'm saying, "Let the bastard die. Do an autopsy if you still want to know what killed him, I don't give a flip any more."

Turing word: "aphsa". I think a Lithuanian gymnast almost died of that in season 2 before House pulled the diagnosis out of his lower intestine.
