Fun With Math

Curmudgeonly & Skeptical

This math exercise can predict your all time most watched film, mine was Saving Private Ryan. (Cuzzin Ricky's)

Try it without looking at the answers. Surprisingly it works!
  • Pick a number from 1 - 9.
  • Multiply it by 3.
  • Add 3.
  • Then multiply by 3 again.
  • Get your answer by adding the two digits together.

Good Luck !!

ACLU and Gun Stuff - LOL

ACLU loses one-fourth of yearly donations
Wait 'till you see why?

Curmudgeonly & Skeptical

Merrily sent me what ostensibly appears to be a USA TODAY poll on the Second Amendment.
Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder,  has already said this is one of his major issues.
This takes literally 2 clicks to complete.   Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today.  It will only take a few seconds of your time.   Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know.   Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

It looks hinky because it doesn't go to the paper itself, and I was unable to find it there. Plus, given the paper's leftist slant, the poll would hardly have compiled the current results .  Nevertheless, it made me feel good, and! While I was there I found this ACLU story that made me feel really good.

NEW YORK (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union has lost a quarter of its yearly donations after a major donor cut off $19 million in annual donations because of economic difficulties.

David Gelbaum, a wealthy California conservationist, said he was indefinitely stopping the donations that had made him the New York-based group's largest anonymous donor.

"For a number of years, your organization has received very substantial charitable contributions from me," Gelbaum said in a statement. "My investments in alternative, clean energy companies have placed me in a highly illiquid position as a result of the general credit crisis in the American and world financial systems."

Gelbaum also announced he was halting some $12 million in yearly gifts to the Sierra Club Foundation and about $50 million a year that he's been giving to an organization serving veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gelbaum has given a total of $389 million to the groups from 2005 to 2009.

Gelbaum says he hopes others will step forward and replace his donations.

Bwah-haaa.  The pecker-head went bust investing in alternative, clean energy companies!!!  I wonder what Algore's portfolio looks like?

This alone is an impeachable offense

The Raptor Met the Only

 The Democrat Party

I watched  the Military Channel's  Heavy Metal episode on the F-22 Raptor last night, for maybe the fourth time.  With all that's going on, it damned near made me utter an oath.  I slapped this segment together, because I was compelled to do something constructive with the heat build-up.  Arrrrrghhhh!   PS - the music is TelStar, by the Tornados. Google will prolly gig me on it.

33 Minutes - Protecting America in the New Missile Age
Heritage Foundation film trailer.  If you substitute China, or even USSRII, for Iran and North Korea, a better argument is made for the threat of a nuclear missile strike, IMO. (7 minute trailer)

Why would Sarah Palin rate Obama a '4'?
As a big fan of Sarah Palin, I must admit I was disappointed with the number Governor Palin assigned President Obama.  I certainly would have rated him much lower.
