I was born in Cahokia, when it was pretty much a company town for Monsanto and a handful of other plants.

I moved away in the early 1980s.

It is now a suburb of East St. Louis, which will serve as an ignominious end to a rather storied existence.

I'm thinking that both mysteries are cover-ups for Monsanto.

I first thought one of them had to be Barry Hoaxandchange's actual birthplace, but then the title said "in the U.S."
