Kaus defends fair maiden

Ann Coulter - Surfing for Gays?

Now that members of the Tea Party movement have stolen much of her thunder, Ms. Coulter is taking some surprising new positions. She called the decision to send more troops into Afghanistan "insane," warning that it could be a new Vietnam. She has decried fellow Republicans for continuing to insist President Obama is Muslim. And perhaps most startling, she wants to bring more gay Republicans into the conservative fold.-

Well, she does play to win.

The New York Slimes has been on a anti-conservative chick bashing bender, wot.  There was Pam Geller, and now Ann Coulter in the same week. I've taken exception to Ann's "birther" statement myself, and I agree that nation building in a country that has never had structure was tough at best.  My solution, and prolly hers, is nuke all the 'stans. But wait - I'm handing off to Micky Kaus

Psychological warfare is handy. Anything that makes the other side's heads explode is a good thing....

Really disappointed in Ann.
It appears her enthusiasm for $$$ and fame/notoriety surpasses that for her priciples.

Partly stolen from FF.com

I like Ann, along with a lot of right wing intellectuals, commentators, antagonists and warriors.

But that doesn't mean I agree with everything she (or anyone, for that matter) says.

I thought that Joseph Farah was extraordinarily juvenile to cancel her appearance for a WND function because she was speaking to a gay group.

It was WND's loss.

As a Catholic who doesn't get into the sanctuaries built like NBA facilities and preachers with $150 haircuts and Gulfstreams, I think I will henceforth have to ignore Farah and the WND crowd.

As I recall in 1980, similar asshats declared after the 1980 election that they were the reason that the Great One was elected - not because he was such a magnificent candidate and ultimately a great statesman.

If someone is a freedom loving Constitutionalist, I don't care whether he plays for the other team.

The issue means nothing to me and WND's making it a litmus test means I no longer have any interest in it.

Tie some ears of corn with some stout twine and drag it around from the back of a pickup truck.....If anybody asks what you're doing, tell them you're trolling for PETA and Code Pink girls.
