Taliban Assault Breacher

Operation Moshtarek Underway
More than 15,000 American, British and Afghan troops have launched the
biggest offensive in Afghanistan since the overthrow of the Taliban in 2001.

Targeted is the Taliban-held districts of Marjah and Nad Ali in Helmand province.  Under the "make-nice" rules of engagement, "Nato had distributed leaflets in the Marjah area warning of the planned offensive in a bid to limit civilian casualties. Villagers said they warned Taliban fighters to leave the area or be killed."  The Taliban in return are expected to have planted many IEDs on the routes they expect troops to take. The good news is this new devil machine making its debut, an infiltration vehicle dubbed the Assault Breacher.  Check the video.

Larry Kudlow is seriously considering senate run.His target: two-term Sen. Charles E. Schumer of New York, the Senate's third-ranking Democrat, in a heavyweight matchup that could prove to be the most entertaining and caustic race of the year. sight Better than a high colonic. With Patches Kennedy's announcment, next year will be (knock on wood) the first in your lifetime, if not mine, that no Jospeph P Kennedy issued brat serves in congress.  sight Top Democrats will try to undercut last month's Supreme Court campaign-finance ruling by forcing corporations and unions that want to run political ads to register separate spending accounts, make them disclose how they got money for the ads and guarantee politicians low rates to respond with their own broadcast ads. sight  BUMPER PATROL "Conservative by choice, American by the grace of God." - Bumper sticker spotted in Fredericksburg, Va.
For those who love the sweet smell of  Déjà vu,  the Larry Kudlow article is enticing.  Remember Sen. Jim Sasser (D TN)?  Who stood to replace retiring Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell in 1994? Except Republicans stunned by picking off 8 senate democrats - including Sasser - & taking control of the senate?  With Harry Reid looking very much like a corpse, Chuckles Schumer expects to be the next SML.  I'm just saying.

In Passing

In passing

Last night while perusing Newsbusters, I fell into a deep depression (not clinical, just a regular feeling of hopelessness).  Then something struck me (again), so I ran a survey.  Here is the result.
Ninety-two percent of all political dialogue in this country is a repetition of what has previously been proved, documented and stated.  This,  because of the pathological Liberal capacity to discard from memory all political unpleasantness, and substitute something nonthreatening to their world view, and agenda.  Having done this, they immediately accept it as truth, and have no memory of what just transpired. Brokaw's Bad Memory: Impeachment Was 'Initiated' Against Clinton
On this evening's Hardball, responding to Chris Matthews' question as to what motivates Clinton nowadays, Tom Brokaw surmised that he is trying to improve his place in history given that, as president, impeachment proceedings had been "initiated" against him.  Initiated?

Feckless and Reckless

All the "feasnaces" in one fell swoop!
Obama’s National Defense Review ignores
Iran and Islam in favor of … climate change!

I would not have thought it possible that one could publish a book-length assessment of America’s security challenges and responses and NOT address the problem of Islamic radicalism or the Iranian bomb – but that’s just what Defence Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Admiral Mullen have done. .... [but] the security effects of climate change are highlighted and discussed in depth in eight pages of the document. -James Corum,

This news alert by "oy vey ole," in a comment, made my morning cup of wake-up coffee quite unnecessary.  Even for an administration as feckless as Obama's, this is staggering.  It covers all the feasances in a swoop - non-feasance, mis-feasance, mal-feasance, and screams "Impeach."
